Rumor Has It

Rumor has it that our travel approval is in the air and will be here on Friday! We are tenatively planning on leaving the 26th or 27th of March.

In other family news, Grace has noted that some six-year-olds have their own TVs in their rooms and was somewhat disappointed to learn that that's never going to happen for her. But not one to let something like that keep her down, she determined that she would make a TV for herself using a large shoebox.

I have to say it was very creative. The screen is removable and reversable, and on each side she drew a scene from one of the books on tape that she listens to. Her tape player is positioned behind the "TV" to play the story that she is "watching." She then put out a sleeping bag and invited her very excited little brother to watch a movie with her.

I don't know if I should be impressed with her creative ability to entertain herself or concerned that both of my children were content to stare at a shoe box for over an hour.
