Joshua means "The LORD is salvation" and RuBin is his Chinese name, which to our best understanding, means "as refined."
We couldn't tell you how many times we have looked at those big, serious eyes, trying to figure out what he is like - his personality, his likes and dislikes, how long it will take him to trust us... From his picture, he seems to look back at us with the same quizzical look. We are reminded that when we first adopt him, he will probably feel like he has been kidnapped by strange-looking aliens!
When we first sent out his picture on email, one of our friends commented, "As I was looking at his picture, I was seeing a future man of God."
