Thought-Provoking Numbers

In the year 2006 there were 127,489 children available for adoption in the foster care system. In that same year, there were 302,461 churches in America.

More than two churches for every fatherless child.

There are currently over half a million children in the foster care system, and God has been moving churches throughout the nation to respond. This coming week, May 17-24th, please considering taking part in a National Prayer Vigil for the foster care system.

Prayer is needed for the children and youth, their families, their workers, and the Church as it reaches out to orphans and those who serve them.

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress."
James 1:27
