We had our formal hearing to re-adopt Joshua in the U.S. on National Adoption Day.
We talked with Grace and Caleb beforehand about how they should behave in a respectful and quiet way in the courtroom, the appropriate way to speak to the judge if addressed, etc.
They did a great job and did have to answer some friendly questions from the judge. Then they shook her hand and gave her high-fives before leaving.
You never know, though, what kind of misperceptions about situations kids are walking around with.
After we left the courtroom, Caleb remarked to me, "Well, I sure didn't know Barak Obama was gonna be a girl!"
Besides our court appearance there many festivities for National Adoption Day to enjoy.
